“Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.”- Winston Churchill
So many times I hear people speak of destiny as if it is something that is owed to them; something that all they must do is show up in order to attain.
Well you know what? That is a poverty mentality, and nothing could be farther from the truth.
At the same time, I don’t completely blame most people for seeing it that way. Often times in popular culture, marketing messages that are fed to the public are done so for the specific purpose of giving them a false sense of hope. This same false sense of hope works to keep people in “dream mode” without necessarily taking much action to achieve those dreams.
It places you into a stupor that most often will make you feel like you just aren’t enough; not successful enough; not rich enough; not talented enough; not beautiful enough; not cool enough, and so on.
Having chronic feelings of inadequacy plays a big role in making us all be willing to spend as much money as we can budget spending on things to make us feel like we ARE enough. And tied up in all of this is the notion of a pre-determined destiny that you must only “believe in” to make happen.
I do believe that everyone has a pre-determined purpose and destiny that is uniquely their own, however, it is not just waiting for you. You must CLAIM it.
So continue to work hard and diligently toward you goals so that you can ACHIEVE the point where you can proudly say that you have indeed claimed your unique destiny that no one else besides you could ever lay claim to.

“Let others lead small lives, but not you. Let others argue over small things, but not you.Let others cry over small hurts, but not you. Let others leave their future in someone else’s hands, but not you. not you.”- Jim Rohn
Byron Nelson, one of the featured mentors in the Multi-Million Dollar Mindset once taught me that “In order to create a beautiful symphony, the conductor must turn his back to the crowd.” In the Bible, The Chosen People were commanded to live their lives by a higher standard. From what they eat, to how they dressed, and every other aspect of their existence needed to reflect their special status.
You may or may not be a “chosen person” but you have most definitely made a CHOICE. You have chosen to take your destiny and that of your family into your own hands and build an enterprise.
In realizing that, you must be careful to be able to balance keeping your close relationships alive while not falling into the abyss of mediocrity by taking on too many of the habits and values of those who are not headed where you are headed.
Consume things that make you happy, but don’t allow yourself to be a bottomless pit of cash to the point that you have nothing but debt and doo-dads to show for all your work. Enjoy entertainment, but don’t allow your television time to outweigh the time you spend developing yourself and your skills.
You ARE a chosen person because you choose to be one. Act accordingly and it will pay you for life.

“Success is not to be pursued; it is to be attracted by the person we become.”- Jim Rohn
Its funny, the harder I “worked” at becoming success, the more elusive it seemed to be. Have you ever felt that way before?
Frustrating little paradox that it is, it is a universal truth that can drive you crazy if you get caught in its throes without the proper mindset.
I’m not at all applying that success does not take work, however, what I am saying is that the work alone won’t get you there. When I was interviewing Steve and Pasha Carter for The Multi-Million Dollar Mindset Steve gave an insight that there really was no such thing as a “self-made” millionaire. Well, we all  know that but lets look a little deeper into this.
If no one has done it alone, then that could only mean that they had the assistance of a team, right? But how did they get that team? Did they “work hard” until they earned them? Of course not. They ATTRACTED that team with the kind of person who they have BECOME through self development.
As you grow as a business person, you will notice that not only more and more people will be attracted to you in a way that makes them want to work with you, share information with you, and be associate with your success, but you will, also notice a higher and higher caliber of person that will be doing this as well.
Remember the words of networking expert, multi-millionaire Kecia Wimmer, “its not so much what you do that makes you rich, its the caliber of people that you meet”. Profound, isn’t it?
So keep working on developing yourself at higher and higher levels and in no time you will began to notice that you have become a magnet for sharp, successful people who bring all sorts of value to the table that can help you to accomplish your goals.

“So many people spend their health gaining wealth, and then have to spend their wealth to regain their health.”- A. J. Reb Materi
When was the last time you went for a nice run? Or had a few glasses of water? Or ate a plate full of field greens and roughage?
So often in the quest for wealth and riches we can get side tracked on something so much more important than material success–our health.
If time is your most valuable asset because once you’ve lost it you can never get it back, then health runs a close second because it determines your QUALITY of life for whatever period of time that you have to live.
Make sure that even in your pursuit of an amazing lifestyle that you still MAKE time for things like regular exercise, eating right, detoxing, and just god ‘ole sleep (aim for 8 hours a night. I know! Hard for an entrepreneur, but I know you can do it!).
One of the traps that is very easy to fall into during any pursuit of success is feeling that you must “get somewhere” before you can truly experience happiness and fulfillment. Taking care of your health is one of the primary ways that you can ensure that you are experiencing happiness NOW.
Staying in shapes helps you to not only feel better and feel better ABOUT yourself, but it also helps you to exude a confident, succesful persona that will attract many of the people who will ultimately make you very successful into your sphere of influence.
Wealth is so much more than just money, freedom, and assets, but having the good health to be able to fully enjoy it all. So the next time that you’re in that all-out marathon to build your business, make sure to schedule a little time to take care of the business of your health as well.
